Quartz Countertops
Are you tired of your granite or marble countertops constantly showing stains or crumbling away? If this sounds
like you, it’s high time you renovated your kitchen with
high quality quartz countertops.
Unlike other stones, these unique slabs combine all of the benefits of natural stone with manmade ingenuity,
resulting in beautiful countertops that are made to last.
Most quartz countertops are made with at least 93% quartz, resulting in a high gloss, scratch resistant surface.
Many companies also include a Microban coating, which helps protect against bacteria. Even without this additional
feature, quartz countertops tend to be cleaner surfaces in general, for as a nonporous stone, it is naturally
resistant toward mildew, mold, germs, and staining.
Another advantage to using quartz countertops is that manufacturers get to create a variety of gorgeous new
colors that you simply won’t find with marble or granite countertops. This results in some truly unique patterns,
textures, and styles. Some manufacturers include semi-precious stones such as jasper or amethyst with their slabs,
while other add glass or mirror flecks to create a beautiful sparkling effect.
Fortunately, when it comes to installing and maintaining your quartz countertops, you have a much easier job
ahead of you than if you were to use other types of stone slabs. Installing quartz is considerably simpler, and
most companies will even dispose of your old countertops for you. Best of all, there is no need to apply sealers to
your quartz. Cleaning is also a snap—simply use soap and water or your favorite all purpose cleaning solution.
When it comes to cooking, many find quartz countertops very convenient indeed. Given that the only stones harder
than quartz are diamonds, topaz, and sapphires, it’s not surprising that many forgo the use of chopping boards
entirely and simply slice and chop their food directly on the counter instead. These slabs are incredibly heat
resistant as well, which means that portions near the stove won’t stuffer. However, it is typically not advisable
to place hot pots and pans directly on the surface.
With this in mind, it’s easy to see why so many invest in quartz countertops. Its easy cleanup, easy
maintenance, and array of dazzling hues, patterns, and textures make it ideal for bathrooms, kitchens, and more.
Even better still, some companies even provide matching handles, knobs, wall tiles, and other accessories, allowing
you to truly make the room uniquely yours.
